Chichaoua celebrates our 16 years of commitment to women and girls

Last Sunday, June 21, the Chichaoua Cultural Center was transformed into a true community celebration. More than 500 women and girls from the city came together to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the Anaouat Foundation, in a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and solidarity.

From the very first beats of the drums, the tone was set. Traditional rhythms echoed through the crowd, drawing both young girls and older women into spontaneous and joyful performances. Between artistic acts, games and activities gave everyone the chance to take part in the celebration, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Yet behind the smiles and music, it was above all the story of sixteen years of commitment that was being told. For sixteen years, the Anaouat Foundation has built deep ties with communities across the province of Chichaoua, working every day to support their autonomy and well-being. This event was more than a celebration: it was a collective recognition of the journey traveled together.

The gifts distributed throughout the day added a well-deserved festive touch, reminding each participant that she matters, that she is seen, and that the community is there for her.

Beyond the number of participants, it was the energy and human warmth of the day that truly marked this anniversary. It was a powerful reminder that, 16 years after its creation, the Anaouat Foundation continues to weave essential bonds at the heart of the community.
